Meet our founder, Filipa. New Dawn Pottery is a ceramic studio based in Ancoats run by Filipa Marques, a self taught ceramic artist. With a personal preference for wheel thrown ceramics, inspiration for my work comes from the natural world and by my surroundings.

It’s important to me that I keep the human touch visible in everything that I make. I love the small imperfections that make something treasured truly special, just like the beautifully flawed bodies that have inspired much of my earlier work.

Nina VHVK, is a Manchester based sculptress specialising in contemporary ceramic design and sculpture. ​Intimately connected with nature, Nina grew up in rural Switzerland, enabling her imagination to draw endless inspiration from her childhood surroundings.
